Why become a Friend of the Archive?
The Archive holds the UK’s finest collection of written, printed and visual material on jazz, blues and related music from the 1920s to the present day.
By becoming a Friend of the Archive and setting up a Direct Debit or making a donation today you can support the National Jazz Archive and help secure its future development. In turn, your support will preserve the jazz heritage of the past and ensure its future.
The next 20 years of the Archive’s existence will take us up to the UK’s ‘jazz century’. To make a success of the National Jazz Archive requires a great deal of skilled work in the field of conserving, cataloguing and digitising important sections of the collection. It has been essential to develop an active website where a wide selection of the Archive can be accessed by researchers, writers, journalists, students and the general public. These tasks require skilled staff to manage and develop the Archive to professional standards. But most of all it needs the support of you – the jazz lover.
Friends of the Archive will benefit from early news of upcoming concerts and invitations to exclusive celebrity interviews plus other special events.
