Say it with Music

Say it with Music - Celebrating the people and places that have shaped jazz

Say it with Music is an exciting free exhibition showcasing our 18-month programme of events, workshops and interviews about how different generations have promoted, performed, supported, and documented our jazz heritage.

Visitors will be able to listen to interviews  recorded throughout the project, and discover the contribution that people of different ages and backgrounds have made to British jazz and popular music heritage.

Say it with Music is a collaboration between local and national organisations, with participation from community groups of all ages and jazz professionals. Partners  include the University of Essex, Loughton Youth Project, Black Cultural Archives, Chelmsford Museum, Age UK and Age Concern. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
